Why I love to cook fresh food
There are many reasons why I love to cook fresh food and the number one reason is that the taste is so different from food that is not fresh. The problem is that many people unfortunately do not ever taste fresh food and they just cannot imagine that it would taste any different. After all, a carrots a carrot and a piece of salmon is a piece of salmon, isn’t it. Well no, not really. Fresh vegetables for example really do taste so much different from tinned vegetables that you would not believe it.
Sending your child to school with a piece of fruit
Everyone knows how important it is that everyone, especially children, eat their 5 pieces of fruit per day but the big mistake that many parents make is that it is just to boring. If your children love fruit and would rather eat a piece of fruit rather than a chocolate bar any day of the week, then you are a very lucky parent with very healthy children.
Getting ready for summer and a change of diet
As the days are getting longer and the climate starts to get warmer it is time to start thinking about a change of diet and to start to incorporate different aspects to your diet which are more suitable for the hopefully, warmer weather.
The days of the heavy meals that seem to make you feel tired just by thinking about them should be replaced by light salads and fruit based dishes which will make you feel fresher and ready to take on the warm summer days.
Why You Learn About Food Nutrition Facts?
If you’re a parent then you know just how important nutrition can be to your growing child. You’ll also know just how difficult it is to get that nutrition into your child. It’s an almost impossible task these days to get your child to eat properly, and it’s probably a good bet that you don’t get too many nutrition rich foods into you either. However, you do need to be aware of what a proper diet can do for you, and for this a guide to some food nutrition facts might just be what you need.
Bread, chicken and chilled white wine – the perfect match
Since moving to Portugal I have discovered that there is three things that a Portuguese menu simply can’t live without. It is your bread, chicken and chilled white wine. (obviously I find the wine the most appealing especially after a long day!)
Whenever you visit a Portuguese restaurant the white wine tastes beautiful and it is nicely chilled and served to you at the beginning of the meal. At the same time you will be served with fantastic sliced crusty bread which compliments the wine perfectly and it will come out with some butter, sardine pate and locally produced olives.
The Most Powerful Way To Fight Bad Health Is To Make Home Cooking Fast And Easy!
Obesity and related health problems are epidemic in North America. Not only are most of us eating way too much and getting little exercise, but we’re also eating very fatty foods. Even if you shun fast food restaurants and buy your food at supermarkets, it’s still almost impossible to find quick-to-fix foods that aren’t high in fat content.
Experts say we were in far better health a few decades ago when just about everyone prepared their meals from scratch. Home cooking, even when elevated to the gourmet level, is far healthier than restaurants or instant dishes from the grocery store.
The secrets to healthy eating Japanese style
People nowadays have become more and more conscious of the way they have lived their lives and how far they have let themselves get dragged to the trend of fast food as well as instant and very much unhealthy eating. There are also those who have medical conditions and need to adjust their diets to help them improve their well being.
