<p style="text-align: justify;">Binge eating is the act of overeating in one sitting when you are not necessarily even hungry. Many people actually do this in private because of their embarrassment over their eating habits. It is not uncommon for these people to have private stashes of food hidden in their home or car. Some people even make late night runs through fast food drive-thru windows to get a “fix”.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Thankfully, there are some tips that can help you if you have this problem. You can overcome this issue if you implement some proven strategies to help you avoid this negative habit. Here are some ideas to get your started:</p>
<p style="margin: 5pt 0cm 0.0001pt 36pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Symbol;"><span>·<span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Diversion: You need to find something that will divert your attention when you feel like you are going to binge. It might be making a phone call to a trusted friend, taking a hot bubble bath, exercising or participating in hobby. You might even want to meditate or have prayer time when you feel the need to binge.</p>
<p style="margin: 5pt 0cm 0.0001pt 36pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Symbol;"><span>·<span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Replace the habit: It is very important to replace a bad habit, no matter what it is. Just trying to stop doing something does not work very well. You want to replace it with a healthier habit. If you want to binge, you might want to go to the gym instead or take a long walk.</p>
<p style="margin-left: 36pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18pt;"><!--[if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Symbol;"><span>·<span style="font-family: &amp;quot;Times New Roman&amp;quot;; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-size-adjust: none; font-stretch: normal; -x-system-font: none;"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]-->Figure out why: The key to overcoming any negative habit is to figure out what is causing it. When you feel the need to binge, write down your feelings and that will help you uncover why you are binging.</p>
