Protein is an essential part of are diet and it can be found in various things that are quite common. Red meat, milk, cheese. And due to the government’s latest report on red meat stating 1lb of meat could increase your risks of getting cancer.

7 Powerful Tips for Reducing Your Food Bill

Since groceries take a big share out of the monthly budget, I have listed here the seven ways to cut down your food bill by at least 25% without using even one coupon.

1. Shop the grocery circulars

Are you aware that everything on the front page is half off? It is important that you stock up some items because you probably won’t see prices as low for two or three months. Get the newspaper and look for the Food section as it contains the circulars.

2. Make a shopping list

Dominic’s $7 Family Meals: Toad in the hole and Spotted dick

For my May recipes I thought I would go for a toad in the hole and spotted dick recipe. I chose toad in the hole as it is not very widely known outside the UK and I thought this would be a good chance for other countries to give it a try.

For my pudding I don’t really like it but it is very popular on a Sunday round at your grans after a Sunday dinner. These meals are not very light on the tummy but with summer fast approaching this could be the last of the winter favourites.

My Love for Free Range Eggs

Nowadays, more and more people want to lead healthy lives by incorporating lifestyle changes. A shift of eating habits poses significant improvement in a person’s overall wellness and health. For example, a lot of us are now keen in eating organic food. And now, free range eggs are slowly gaining popularity among health-conscious people as foods rich in good vitamins and minerals.

Mummy Kitchen: Three Ways To Cook Minced Beef

If there is one meat that is cheap yet incredibly tasty the award has to go to minced beef and I am a huge fan. I must buy at least one pack a week. Whether it is to make spaghetti and meatballs or lasagne you can do pretty much anything with it. Imagine if you sent two people into seperate kitchens with a pack of mince you can imagine that totally different items would end up being cooked.

I will often go into the kitchen and make meatballs where as Dominic is more likely to opt for cottage pie which is an old English favourite of his.

The Real Food Handbook: Buying, Storing and Using Ingredients

Most cooks are now emphasizing that it is not complexity that make for great cuisine, but quality of ingredients—sourcing the best produce at the right time of year, getting the best cut of meat and the freshest seafood, the finest oils, vinegars, and spices. Why I Don’t Do Diets I Just Eat Healthy

We are all living in a very advanced and fast-paced world full of stress, takeaway food, coffee, and more stress. With that, it can be very difficult to keep yourself healthy and find time to exercise, especially if you have the same time schedule as me. I work throughout the day, thus I do not have any spare time to exercise. I cannot go on a diet either. Apart from I cannot find the best diet plan for myself, I feel that eating healthy foods is enough to keep myself trim and fit.

Reasons I chose eating healthy over diet

Eating Organic: Making Sure the Food You Are Eating Is Actually Organic

I love eating, travelling and blogging. My love for food does not mean that I just eat anything. I admit that I do enjoy eating different cuisines, but I am quite picky with the ingredients. I make sure that everything in my meal, especially our family meals, are organic. Eating organic food gives me a peace of mind and assurance that my family and I are consuming healthy food.

So, why do I want organic foods? There many reasons why you should be eating organic food.

1. Organic food is delicious

Dominic’s $7 Family Meals: Melon Boat Starter and Cashew chicken recipe

For my April recipes I wanted a light starter and a light filling main course. The melon starter is easy to do and the kids will love to help you make the boats. But they will probably eat as they make the boats.

So the boats may come out more as rafts! For the main course I have gone for Cashew Chicken which is an oriental dish. It is light on the belly but filling and easy to make. I can get Chicken in Portugal for about 4 euros for 3 breasts.

Gordon Ramsay: The Biography

A new biography of Gordon Ramsay—celebrated restaurateur, star of Fox TV’s hit reality show Hell’s Kitchen, and the only London chef with three Michelin stars. He has cooked for prime ministers, ousted Hollywood actresses from his restaurants, set records for cursing on television, and changed the way Britain eats. As famous for his volatile persona as he is for his cooking, Gordon Ramsay remains London’s most talked-about chef, an international sensation whose eponymous restaurant boasts three Michelin stars. And with his hit television show, Hell’s Kitchen, Ramsay is now a household name in the U.S. At 18, Ramsay was a professional

Mummy Kitchen – Saturday Night Dining In

I always make a great effort with my Saturday night meals, in fact weekend meals in general are pretty special. During the week we are all busy doing our own thing and will eat our main meal at lunch time. Though at a weekend we will cook dinner together and then spend a couple of hours sat down at the table enjoying ourselves as we enjoy our food and drink.
