The weather seems to be all over the place these days. Some days it’s cold and some days it’s hot. Feeding your family something quick can get confusing when the weather cannot even make up its mind. It’s hard to feed them soup when it’s 80 degrees out, so you need to think of something quick. Instead of fretting about what you will make them, check out these quick food ideas for your family.

Grilled Cheese

Grilled Cheese is the perfect meal for any weather. You can cook it up on the stove and serve it with a side of potato chips or soup. The grilled cheese even tastes good when it’s cooled down a bit from being cooked on a high heat. Kids of all ages can enjoy the sandwich and it takes less than 10 minutes to cook. Add a few veggies to the grilled cheese sandwich, to make it just a tad bit healthier.

Peanut Butter and Jelly

PB & J is a comfort food that everyone in your family can enjoy. You can pick healthy bread and just add your favorite peanut butter and bread to it. Serve PB & J by itself or with a side. This is also a perfect sandwich you can take on the go. Sometimes you just need to grab something quickly and get on the road.

Macaroni and Cheese with Sausage

Mac and cheese with a side of sausage is a meal you can cook in your home in 30 minutes or less. You can keep the ingredients on hand and use them anytime you want. All of your family members will appreciate the homemade taste of the meal. This is a great go to meal for anyone because it requires little time and you can feed your small army quickly.

Think Quick & Easy

There are some days that you just need a quick and easy meal. Yes, feeding your kids grilled cheese, PB & J and macaroni is perfectly normal. You can concentrate on feeding them and they can relax because they have some food in their system. There are some days where you just will not have the time to cook a gourmet meal. At least with these ideas, you always have something on hand to feed those grumbling tummies. If your family is hungry, then always think quick and easy when you are trying to feed them in a hurry.

Eating is a favorite past time of most of the people in the world. Try something new this evening with this roast beef meal. Roast beef is something you can cook for your family and still stay on a budget. Sometimes finding a meal to satisfy your whole family can be incredibly frustrating. Cook this roast beef meal and there will be no complaining at the dinner table.

The second part of this 7$ Family Meal idea is Banana Pudding. It’s amazing how people always have room for dessert, even after eating a fulfilling meal. Your guests will have plenty of room for this Banana Pudding dessert. You can serve the Roast Pork recipe with a side of mashed potatoes and your choice of a vegetable. There are a few vegetables in the Roast Pork meal, but adding an extra vegetable never hurt anyone. Of course, you can also add a roll or some sort of bread to eat with it.

The Banana Pudding is great as is and you probably will not want to add anything extra to it. The banana pudding comes with a sweet layer of whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. If that does not say “the perfect treat” then what does? Make sure to chill the banana pudding long enough, so it stays well put together. Enjoy making this delicious main dish and dessert for your family.

Pleasing your entire family with food can be a real pain. This is especially true if you have family members who are of different ages. Your spouse might want one thing and your kids might want another. The bottom line is that you are only one person and you cannot cook five different meals for everyone. You can cook one meal that the entire family will love. This will help you save time and help please your entire family. Here are a few ideas to please the entire family with the meals you cook.

Pasta

Pasta is an excellent idea to please the entire family. You can cook a dish with pasta and watch how your whole family devours the dish. Spaghetti, macaroni and fettuccini are just a few types of pasta that your family will love. Feel free to switch up the type of pasta you use to make your meal a little more versatile. Use a variety of sauces to spread across your pasta.

Casseroles

Casseroles are the perfect dish to make for your family for several reasons. One of the main reasons is that the dish is so easy on you. You throw a few select food items together and then you are able to create a meal your whole family can enjoy. It sounds like the perfect solution to make your life simpler. You can even throw ingredients in a crockpot to make a scrumptious casserole dish.

Pizza

Pizza is every mom’s go to food when it comes to an easy meal for the entire family. You can make just about any kind of pizza with the ingredients in your home. Try making a veggie pizza and watch how they chow it down. Plus you can make the pizza as healthy as you would like for your family. It’s okay to splurge once in a while on a supreme pizza for your loved ones. The bottom line is that pizza is a stress free and very easy dinner alternative that will please the entire family.

Family Time

Enjoy your time together as a family. Even though you might get stressed out from trying to please your family at dinner time, it is more important that you enjoy your time together. Try making pasta, casseroles and pizza to keep your family just a little happier at dinner tonight. Allow your kids and spouse to help out as much as possible in the kitchen, and enjoy making precious memories together.

This is the recipe for you and your family. Breakfast Pizza will be the new favorite meal in your home. The ingredients are simple and all you need is a few ingredients and about a half hour of time. Ingredients like cheese, sausage and bacon. The entire recipe is screaming your name. Add this to your list of breakfast recipes because a lot of people are going to want a copy of it. Share it with your mummy friends and watch how you are quickly the most favorite cook on the block.

Breakfast is one of the busiest times of the day. Your kids have just woken up and you need to figure out what to cook them for breakfast. Let’s put breakfast and pizza together and create a meal that your kids will enjoy for many years to come. In fact, they may start asking you for it every day. The best part of this recipe is that you can make it for them and still make it healthy. It’s not time consuming and that means you have a lot more time in the morning to spend it with your kids.

If you have kids of various ages, then this is also an ideal meal. Older kids tend to get hungrier throughout the day and this breakfast pizza helps to hold them over. You can also freeze the leftovers and reheat it on another day. Here is an easy recipe that will make your life in the morning a lot easier.

Ingredients
1 can of crescent rolls
2 Cups of Chopped up Bacon
4 Cups of Scrambled Eggs
2 Cups of Cheddar Cheese
4 Cups of Hash browns

Method
1. Scramble the eggs in a pan on the stove.
2. Add the crescent rolls onto a shallow baking dish.
3. Add the scrambled eggs, hash browns and bacon onto the crescent crust.
4. Sprinkle the cheese across the pizza.
5. You will want to make this at 325 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
6. Allow to cool before serving to your family.

As you can see, this recipe is just what you need to feed your kids and keep them happy. It requires very little ingredients, it’s healthy and you can stay within your budget. Staying within budget will keep mum and dad both healthy. This recipe is honestly so good, that you might also be taking a few bites yourself.

Just because you are mom does not mean you should not take time for yourself. Wake up a few minutes before the kids wake up and start making this meal for them. To freeze the Breakfast Pizza, just place it in a freezer friendly container or baggie. You will be glad you took it upon yourself to cook you and your family this amazing meal that takes less than a ½ hour to make. It’s the simple things in life that matter. This is another post brought to you by the Mummy Kitchen. Sit back and let this mummy bring food to your kitchen table.

So we have are Philips Air fryer for just over 7 months now and we are reasonably impressed with it. The only problem we had was making chips just how we liked them, we found it quite challenging.

The instruction manual pointed out that you will need to put the Air fryer on the top setting. We did this but found mostly the chips on the top were brown and crispy but the chips in the middle were still quite hard.

And the Daddy of the family obviously had the nicely done top ones!

So with about 3 months of messing around with the settings and using fat free spray and extra virgin olive oil we have I believe cracked how we love are low fat chip shop chips.

We only have 3 people in our household so making the chips this way is not a problem. I fill the grill pan up to the line with thick cut fresh potatoes. Then put the temperature on 165c for 25minutes.

I shake them every 10 minutes. I put I teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil in with a few sprays of fat free spray. I also put a few sprays of the fat free spray every time I shake the basket.

After the 25minutes the chips should be relatively soft, I could eat them like this but my wife likes them to be abit crispy. So I put the chips back on for a further 10 minutes with the fryer on full power.

I shake after 5 minutes without adding any more oil and when the air fryer pings the chips are lovely and crispy but most important they are succulent and all the chips are cooked evenly.

They taste gorgeous and I have to keep pinching myself that they are healthy chips and not soaking in fat. We also find that the air fryer does not have a problem cooking frozen chips on full power from the start. But they have more calories.

Imagine being able to have diet chips everyday and thoroughly enjoy them at the same time. Without the usual guilt. It is also not smelly like a fat fryer so your kitchen still smells nice!

It takes a while to get used to but once you are doing them regularly you’ll forget what dinner time was like before your airfryer.

Click Here For Further Information: Philips Air Fryer

• 2 1/2 pounds firm ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
• 2 cups fresh blueberries
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup white grape juice
• 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon Sweet ‘N Low

Notice that most of the ingredients are completely natural. Although they still contain some sugar it is mostly natural sugar which is really good for you. Using a sugar alternative is also a great idea to make sure it stays friendly for the diabetics. You never want to use too much artificial sugar because too much of something is still bad. It’s important to also note that you are making this jam from scratch and it does not make it as processed as store bought jams.

Experts say that you should make and consume this jam in less than two weeks. It’s not safe because there are not as many preserves in the artificial sugars. You win some and you lose some when you are putting your body and health first. Start with making diabetic free jam and you can go onto to make other foods that are good for you. A lot of people mistakenly put sugar in a lot of their meals and they can look for different alternatives. Just imagine how many different foods you can put the jam on and you can stay healthy at the same time. There are also a variety of artificial sugars you can use to make your homemade jam. The above list is just an example of ingredients you can place in the jam. Enjoy!

HELP! Does your dishwasher stink? Don’t fear because this is a common problem that people face every day. Getting your dishwasher to smell better is important because that smell can affect your dishes. No one wants to open their dishwasher and gag at the awful smell. The big question here is what can you do to stop it from smelling?

Remove the Food

The first step in making sure your dishwasher stops smelling bad is to remove the leftover food. In reality, you should rinse off your dishes before you place them in the dishwasher, but no one really has time for that. As a result, food is stuck in the cracks of the dishwasher and it’s “stinking up the place”. Take this time to also remove the gunk that is surrounding your dishwasher.

Cleaning the Dishwasher

If your dishwasher stinks, then you have to clean it out. There are a few ways you can clean out your dishwasher. The first idea is to purchase a sanitizer kit that removes the germs, dirt and built in grime. Otherwise, you can place vinegar into your dishwasher and run it on the hottest setting possible. There are a ton of products you can use to remove the build up from your dishwasher. By removing the grime and food from the dishwasher, you can eliminate the smell as well.

Bleach is a great way to remove the smell from a dishwasher. There is something about bleach that makes everything cleaner and smelling fresh. Dilute the bleach as to not make the smell too strong. Sometimes plain old dishwashing soap works wonders on your dishwasher as well.

Preventing the Smell

Once you have gone through the process of cleaning the smell out of your dishwasher, you want to prevent it from smelling again. It is best if you try to remove all food from the dishes before you put them into the dishwasher. Cleaning out the dishwasher on a regular basis can also prevent the smell from building up.

The dishwasher is not always the most ideal place to spend your time cleaning, but it’s imperative if you want a non-smelly dish washing machine. Sanitize every week to keep germs at bay. There really is no need to keep smelling that unwanted smell in your dishwasher when there are simple alternatives. If none of these tips work, then it’s best to consult a professional because there could be something major wrong.

There is nothing worse than onion tears. You start cutting up the onions and you don’t think that anything will come out, but tears start to flow. It’s a weird feeling because the tears are not real and it makes you feel bizarre inside. There are a few techniques you can use to dry and avoid the dreaded tear sessions. There is one old saying that states you should hold a piece of bread outside of your mouth, so you can keep the tears away while cutting onions. A lot of people say that have good success with it, Perhaps your tears will stay away when you have bread dangling from your mouth.

How to Cut Them

Learning how to cut onions right can also prevent you from having tears in your eyes. There are a lot of weird and dangerous tips out there, such as holding a burning match to your mouth as you cut the onions. That doesn’t sound like it would be too effective and it really is not. If you don’t want to have tears in your eyes, then consider wearing a white mask, so you are not breathing in the onion smell. Try and cut the onions as far away from you as possible and breath through your mouth as you cut the onions, instead of through your nose.

How to Store the Onions

An old tale is to make sure the onions are cold before you begin to chop them. Something about the cold air makes your tear ducts stay dry. This might not work for everyone, but it’s said to be very effective for a lot of people. Keep the onions in a fridge until they are completely chilled and then go on a chopping spree. Hopefully this will help keep your tears away and you can concentrate on cooking your food.

If it comes down to it and you just cannot get the tears to stop, then you need to take greater action. Onions are too good to leave out of your food, so you need to find something that works. Purchase a pair of cheap goggles to wear as you chop up onions. What do you have to lose? You may make your spouse laugh a little, but there is nothing wrong with that. Enjoy your tear free onion chopping days.

Let’s face it, most people are self conscious about how they look and feel. The bottom line is that food can either make you feel great or make you feel a lot worse. Eating the right amount of calories is truly the key to making you feel awesome about yourself and also making sure you stay healthy. The recommended calorie diet for an average person is about 2000 calories a day. Believe it or not, but there are some people that eat way less than that and others who eat a lot more, but you need to figure out what caloric intake is right for you.

Do you exercise? If you exercise, then you should be in-taking a lot more calories than usual. Some experts recommend adding those calories onto your average daily intake. You want your body to stay strong and you don’t want it to falter while you are trying to stay healthy. Decide if you will be exercising regularly before you come to a conclusion on how many calories you should eat each day.

Do you want to lose weight? Losing weight will also put you into a different caloric intake category. Depending on what you weigh, most people intake 1200-1500 calories a day when they are trying to lose weight. Some experts recommend in taking the amount of calories that you want to weigh. For example; if you want to weigh 150 pounds, then you would eat 1500 calories. If you want to weigh 200 pounds, then you will want to take in around 2,000 calories. Eating and exercising is the key to staying on a steady weight loss journey.

The average person should intake 2,000 calories or less, depending on their needs. It’s hard to put a number on what you should personally be taking. Eating 2000 calories of junk food and 2000 calories of nutritious food are two different things. It is okay to eat junk in moderation, but you really should be careful about what you are putting into your body. There are a ton of apps and websites out there that can help you know the amount of calories you should be eating every day. Once you start tracking how many calories you are eating on a daily basis, you might actually shock yourself. Eating thousands of calories is a lot easier than one might think.
